Without Your Pain Who Would You Be?

There comes a time when you need to ask

yourself whether we want to continue

or tendered

by your pain.

And in this moment

the world to hold onto its darkness

so you may take a moment to regain

your footing in this space.

Take that moment now, to ask yourself…

Without my pain who would I be? What would I do?

This is the question we must spend our lives answering – and if you were in pursuit of only one answer, make it this.

Who would you be, how would life flow

if the pain was not a part of you

but of the peaty, rich soil in which to grow.
