To Heal Is To Grow

Walk the fields

where the

feather and maiden

grass grows - and find the small patch of earth that has been packed and pressed heavy by deer’s body. Lie your earthly body down against the warm ground, and curl your knees up against beating heart.

Let the weft and warp of you

be spun and earth’s

curved and flexing loom.

Let starry cradle

hold your darkness,

turning tears

into constellations -

that light the midnight sky.

Be still and rest,

return to the nest of all beginnings

and endings,

let nature seep, sow,

heal and

g r o w

from a place of quiet cede.
