The Fear Within

Go into the wild dear child

and unpack before you go,

the lessons you’ve been taught

about the dangers and those fearful beasts

that lie in the unknown.

Go into the wild dear child

take little of what brings you ease.

Be brave and trust Heart,

for she’s the keeper

of wisdom

that lie far beyond these trees.

Go into the wild dear child,

and remember the

unmapped path is the one

that leads you home.

Follow moonlit clearings,

and unlearn your fearings

unlearn your voicelessness,

your othering-ness,

your hopelessness,

and the inheritance in which

old wounds were sowed.

Go into the wild dear child,

and know this before you go;

that the fear you fear is not out there

but within you
