The False Validation

Every hurt hides a falsehood.

A buried belief that seeded such a great lie

that no one knew of its poison,

not even you.

And every time you hurt

you validate that belief

that perhaps

you don’t deserve that happiness

or you are unworthy of real love

real success

real joy…

But take away that belief

and you are left with what is real:

That it is just a feeling,

just an expression of past

caught up in itself,

a tag.

a thorn,

a thread

that leads to nothing of beauty or

substance or truth.

You are written and rewritten

by the falsehoods you validate when hurt.

Change the narration.

Change the story.

Change the belief and you will change your life.
