Seeking Wholeness

It sometimes feels like

the search for 'better and more'

burrows crevasses within us,

just to fill us with flaws

that were not there to begin with,

that were never in question…

but now we feel uncertain,

now we feel destined

to rove in exile

from where we already belong

from what we already have

from what's never been wrong

from who we already are

and what we already know

blinded and guided

by a hunger to grow

what’s only just seeded

and calling for heart,

our inward attention,

our intentions to start

seeking less from what’s out there

and more of our own soil,

what’s planted within us,

and what’s always been whole.
